Harry Reid says cutting off Iraq funding has failed, they're giving up. Gonzales "scandal" over, DOA. Walter Reid? Where'd THAT go?

Appears Republican's are renewing momentum, looking forward to 2008. Bush wins bipartisan support for immigration reform!

Dems, are you seathing with anger, so much so that your party is self-destructing? Maybe another march in the streets will blow off some steam? Don't forget you pretty signs!

If the Dems don't figure out that America doesn't want socialism, they might as well throw in the towel. We also don't want loud riots in the streets. These tend to scare reasonable people away.

The Democrats have had less than 4 full months in power and in that time they have made significant gains against the current regime. To say that they are giving up is laughable. Only just last week they gained another congressional cosponsor to H.Res.333 that calls for the impeachment and ouster of Dick Cheney for high crimes aghainst the United States. If the Republicans are getting their groove back, then how come they are so afraid of a little known guy by the name of Ron Paul who (and hold on to your hats) actually tells the truth when asked questions. I don't think the question should be whether or not which party is gaining or losing political power. The question is how come it has taken this long to for us as Americans to wake up to the fact that the Bush family is just wrong for the country. He should have been impeched on the day he choose to invade Iraq. I am ashamed of all of congress for not bring him to trial. They brought Clinton to trial over far less of an offense. And Yes, I thought it was appropriate to put Clinton on trial for lying, so don't think that this is some left wing making this reply. I urge everyone who reades this answer to contact their House of Representative member and ask them to cosponsor H.Res.333

I was a registered republican and voted as such in 2000 buy 2004 I had allready smelled the rat and became UA unafiliated it's great not being registered to a party you can't begin to imagine how much better I sleep at night not caring if I reelected in the wrong idiot like bush in 2004 or kerry I chose no evil not the lesser of 2 evils. The simple fact is the democrats do not control a veto proof house or senate so it's still the republican fault nothings being dun. As far as immigration I remember senor bush speaking spanish during his reelection and didn't he promise amnesty to the illegals without calling it such so thats neither a republican or democrat issue more like a both.Within a month I predict it's by by alberto it's just a shame he can't be deported or can he.by by wolfowitz.

What an odd question!

Since I have had to put up with 6 years of Bush and Reid has to deal with both Bush's veto threat and a razor thin majority in the Senate, I am going to be very very patient with Reid and other Democratic leaders.

Republicans did get a much deserved butt kicking last fall. I would guess that they are trying to regroup and get back to the basics.

It is very hard for the incumbent party to be liked in the House or the Senate, especially when nothing of importance has been done so far. We are still in Iraq for the foreseeable future, no minimum wage increase, no ethics reform, no universal health care, or anything else that was promised to voters.

Gonzalez was just in court today.
The Dems already knew cutting war funding wasn't going to work, but it puts pressure on Republicans to start voting for war cuts.
Walter Reid is still under investigation by some branch of the sprawling bureacracy that is the government.

Go GOP 2008! Sad though really, for the Dems I mean. Putting so much hope into such a futile effort. Hmm, maybe they can thank little miss Pelousi for her and the other Dems in Congress for their "grand job" at keeping their promises... again.
