Free anti-virus and anti-spyware great for HP PCs?

As usual, Most everyone is giving you a long list of everything you can download but there not telling you everything you need to know. Generally "free" means worthless garbage that will not protect your computer. If you really want it protected the right way that means pay for it. This place is full of people who think they can get something for nothing. You can't. The three top downloaded AV's and the most worthless are, AVG. The new 9.0 is said to have root kit protection. It is no better than the one before it. The one before it had no root kit protection at all. This junk AV may as well not either. It let every root kit i threw at it right in and then couldn't remove it. AVG cannot remove malware. It may detect it. But that's about it. AVAST, A step above AVG. It does have decent root kit protection. But what it doesn't have is heuristic scanning in the free version. If you go to a page that is infected that way or get a drive by download or download something infected that way you are screwed because Avast might detect it but it will not remove it. That makes the boot time scanner worthless junk to. Avira, Has huge problems updating and with faults positives. It has better detection than the other two. But it can be one aggravating program. It will make you think it's updated and running when it really isn't. Leaving your computer un-protected. Get Kaspersky internet security. It really works. The only thing about it, You need to make sure you have enough RAM to run it and windows 7. You will need at least 2 gigs of memory for everything to run smooth. I been using Kaspersky almost 3 years and no infections of any kind. All you need is Kaspersky and a little common sense. You won't need any of that other disk cluttering free junk that prob, will not work anyway because it doesn't run in real time unless you pay for it. Most infections now are very sophisticated. They will disable all free security defense. Especially things like malware bytes that doesn't run in real time and is only updated when you tell it to do a scan. Worthless.

Antispyware I use three. You can only use one antivirus program or you will have serious conflict with your system.

A2Squard Malware out of Austria. Download their free version and you will be protected from, rogue dialers, worms, malware, keyloggers, trace spyware and rouge cookies.
