This month my period was a couple days late and I was sure I was pregnant. I just had this feeling(hubby and I hadn't really been trying hard but, if it happened, it happend and we would be thrilled). My period finally did come a couple days late and it hasn't stopped, since. I've had it for a week and a half, now and it's still heavy as ever with clotting. Usually I have a very heavy flow for about 2-3 days and a light-moderate flow for about 3-4 more days and then it's over. This time I've had almost 2 weeks of non stop heavy flow. IDK if something is wrong with me or what is going on. Could I have been pregnant and miscarriaged and not known it? Plz. help.

I don't think you've miscarried unless you missed your previous period. But the best advice I can give you is to go to your gynecologist. Something is obviously wrong to have a period that long and that heavy. Don't delay, dear, because losing so much blood can give you an iron deficiency. You may have to have a D & C (dilation and curretage) to stop the bleeding. It's a fairly simple procedure and is usually done under anesthetic. I had several of those in my younger days. You could also have fibroids which cause heavy bleeding with clotting. See a doctor to find the exact cause, and perhaps you can also be treated with birth control pills or hormone therapy. A thyroid deficiency can also produce your symptoms. But don't wait too long to see your doctor. Good luck and I hope you're better soon.

Anything's possible. Call your doctor to discuss.
