Most music stores can buy back cds and dvds.
Try Cocontus, Reckless Records, Second Hand Tunes even Gamestop.
Some Blockbusters offer used dvd selling.
The City of Chicago made it difficult for most shops in to purchase used product not long ago. If they purchase used dvds, cds, etc from the public they have to apply for a second hand store license which is quite costly as well as require a ton of paperwork. So many stores stop purchasing used material after that. Most music stores deal in high volume of used music so they are your best bet besides Gamestop.
Hope this helps.

I always ended up walking out of those places with all my stuff and a mad attitude. Amazon.com and ebay are best for selling that stuff and they give you postage credit so you make money as long as it sells. Peace.

post your stuff for sale on Craigslist.org in the Chicago stuff for sale section. It's free to list there.
