Okay, within the next several months I hope to acquire at least 2500 dollars. I live in Washington State right now and I'm 20 years old.

I need to move because I am really bored and frustrated with where I am.

I have decided on either L.A., England, or India.

I've never been to any of those places and have heard horrible stories of smog, malaria, and very expensive studio apartments.

I am willing to get a job once I get where I'm going...in fact I really want one...but I'm looking for clerical or food service.

Any advice about those places?

Peace Corps requires a college degree which I do not have. And they don't actually go to the US, England, or India. I checked.

England has very similar weather as Washington State. If you're okay with your (our) weather, then you should feel pretty at home here. They are really informed and much more in tune with the environment than we are.

India can get really hot. I mean temperatures up to 120 degrees. The culture is extremely different. Based on the jobs you're looking for, I don't think you're prepared for what you're going to find there. Don't get me wrong - the people are wonderful and the food is good. But, the class system and the lack of support you'll have is going to be an issue.

My old home of Los Angeles is quite a bit warmer than Washington State. It's very congested, has a lot of noise, and a lot to do. Opportunities are everywhere. However, the dollar doesn't go nearly as far there as it does where you are now. And, unlike Washington, people in LA have a different way of talking. People tend to stick to themselves rather than bother anyone else. So, it can be a lonely place.

If I had your choice, I'd stay in Washington State. Move to a different area. It's not that small.

With the money u have u could live lavishly in India but pretty much don't even bother going there unless u know someone there coz u will be completely lost there and more then enough people will be there to take advantage of the situation. Also u''ll only love the place for a short while i.e. till u have seen all the beautiful sites but forget about settling unless ur ready to adopt a totally different culture.

As far as England goes u'll be on a damn tight budget primarily because of the higher currency rate and even higher cost of living. Obviously adapting the culture would be far easier then India but then again everything is like exactly opp. to the US. Climatically its gets quite cold there especially towards the north. In India from North to South u have all variations of climate n u choose the one that suits u best.

My advice stay at home get a decent career. Make some money get settled then go to these places on a HOLIDAY.

Your young so go out and have fun...go to England. India is too hot and too different. LA is very expensive and if you've never been there it can be very scary. Try England but FYI you need more then 2500 to start a new life somewhere. That is NOT enough. Try staying at hostiles for a while. There cheap and all over.

I would say England over India . I would pick England but since you only have that much I would hate to see you go to another country and then not like it and get stuck or in trouble with no way out . At least in the USA you can move anywhere via bus or car and believe it or not , each state is different . why not try ARIZONA? do some research online about it , you might like it .

England or L.A., although its quite gloomy in England. I actually moved to LA from Virginia, and I can say that its good, but it takes a lot of adjustment. Its possible to have a lot of fun out here, but there are some bad stuff about it as well. I've never been to India, however.
Good Luck, wherever you go!

For Food service jobs, move to england. If you want to be able to live on $2500 for several months, move to India. If you want to spend that $2500 on a cheap boob job and become a stripper, move to LA.

Otherwise, stay where you are, get a college education and have your chosen career send you where you want to go.

Good Luck!

India.
If your bored and frustrated where you are it's not going to change much in LA and England. Where as India is so different to any other place on earth. You will have a wild adventure their and come back a different person.

England. I 've been there and wish I had the guts to move there. Los Angelos? Nice place to visit for maybe a weekend. India? Are you kidding?
