Nope~~got my best jobs while I already had one! You don't give off that desperation aura and are much more relaxed when you aren't broke!
When they ask why~~tell them you are looking for a more challenging position!

no, this is a wise choice. it is not as financially safe to leave a job without knowing another one is waiting for you.

there have been alot of layoffs in the journalism, graphic artist and real estate/ mortgage industries lately ,plus some companies have downsized and out source jobs to other countries, thousands of people from all over apply for a few union job openings and go through a lottery process, hoping to find a temporary job to work up to full time work.

times are tough and it is not wise to take your job for granted

No, I think it's a smart thing to do. You really shouldn't ever quit one job without having a other one lined up. Where I live, it can take awhile to find a good job and get hired. So if you quit before having another job, your going to spend some time without money.

Nope. Ive done that before. If the job sucks theres no shame in looking for something better. And its better to know you have another job lined up before you quit your sucky job.

Its better to job hunt while employed. It looks better to potential employers and if you quit first what if it takes longer than expected to get work that can eat at savings real fast.

no - one is not a slave in any company - why do you think people take time off.. not only on holiday but they have interviews lined up.!

My man is about to quit his job and he feels guilty about it (as he has got something better lined up) ... but that is the way the cookie crumbles.

No boss owns you - you are allowed to do as you please and if you have a better opportunity - take it now!

Yeah, It's odd, and it can get uncomfortable when your employer finds out. Like they never saw it coming or something. But I think it happens often enough that it really cant hurt you, unless they are out to get you.

Not really. I think it happens all the time.

I think a lot of people are always looking for better jobs that pay more.

Not really. It's kind of easier to get a job if you already have a job.
