He said some pretty hurtful things to me the other day. I was so pissed and I don't feel the need to call him. Does this make me mean or what?

Oooh. Ice woman. Ok. Jokes apart- I dont think you should feel guilty about that. He didnt call and apologize for what he said, did he? So something as trivial as not wishing him on his birthday shouldn't make you feel bad. Especially since he's been unrepentingly mean to you.
Tell you what though, call him now. If he acts like nothing happened, then you DO have a reason to be pissed off.

You're not cold-hearted, just a little rude and self-centered.
1. It wasn't right for him to say mean things to you, but it was his BIRTHDAY, for Pete's sake.
2. It appears to me that you don't have a pretty good relationship with him if he is immature enough to say hurtful things to you and not apologize, and if you're not mature enough to be the better person and try to make things right between the two of you, even if you didn't do anything wrong. Now you've escalated the problem.

How would you feel if he did that to you? You may have been mad, but you could of put your feelings to the side for the day, and talked it out the next day. I don't think your cold hearted, but I'd be upset if someone did that to me.
Plus, now he might try to turn it around on you, and throw it in your face that you didn't call him on his birthday.

But I can understand not calling him, too. He owes you an apology.

Well i guess it just depends on what he said, but you should forgive him. Everyone deserves a second chance. You should call him Now! It shows you are the better person.

Yes, it was his birthday. Guy's always say messed up things when they get mad. You have to take it lightly. Thats what they do. We cry and want to discuss things, thats what we do. Unless its not serious and he does not care about you, then it does not matter.

no offense but getting revenge only stirs more anger and leads to more problems, you could call him but in the end remind him youre still mad at him, after all you still care?
