Stéphane Brizé [French writer, director, producer, actor]
I like the way that he puts together a film about "ordinary" people, and the way he deals with the mundane existence common to most of us. In "Hometown Blues", for instance, he addresses the question of "What ever happened to our childhood dreams?" Is what I am doing right for my life? It makes me realize that, somehow, there are heroic qualities in those of us who lead ordinary lives.
