I see a number of networks whose names are 12 character alphanumerc strings two examples are: 05B406114672 and 06B408531920. All of the routers names begin with a 0, and have a b as the thier 3rd character.

These look very much like MAC addresses and yes they are easy to lookup.. if the company is registered.

Your talkig about the MAC address. That is hard coded to every network device made and is unique to each. Yes you can identify it but it takes alot of resreach even going back to themanufaturer.Then you would have to find out who sold it and who they sold it to, etc, etc. I doubt you would have acess to that info anyway.
