Same as I was during Vietnam. What makes me saddest is that both were initially winable wars, until the fools in the White House proved they knew nothing about why people fight or how to start, or stop, a revolution. What I fear now is that we have traveled so far down this path that we have no choice but to declare a "PAX AMERICANA" and conquer the world. The result will be an new dark ages, and the victory of Big Brother. Still, America surprises me enough that I try to keep in mind that we were the first (and only nation) to conquer the world and we got out of it, willingly, faster than we conquered it. So, hoist one for absent friends.

It is always awful when someone dies., BUT, this is NOT a nonsense war. Also, according to your statistics, there would be about 3 million dead Iraqis. Where in the blue hell did that come from? Back to the war, we went over there because Saddam WAS using WMDs (does not mean they were nukes), violated several UN rules, and kicked the UN inspecters out before they had a thorough search. But I don't think Harvard would help YOU in understanding this.

What do you think of, that we could get rid of Saddam and in basic terms walk away? the rustic could in the present day descend into chaos and civil conflict. How could desire to the Iraqis sort a clean government devoid of somebody to maintain the peace? we are sacrificing the lives of our infantrymen, and spending billions of dollars to offer all Iraqis a voice of their government. With Saddam, basically the Sunnis had ability. you're perplexing the term liberation with profession. As Bush has suggested innumerable cases, as quickly via fact the Iraqis are solid adequate to control, sustain, and shelter themselves, we can thankfully flow away. Your maximum exasperating assertion is that American infantrymen have become what they deserve. devoid of our infantrymen, Iraq could descend into anarchy. There could be no police secure practices nor military to maintain order. Our courageous infantrymen are development 1000's of latest colleges. they are digging sewers so as that the undesirable neighborhoods that Saddam ignored do no longer could desire to stay in dirt. The terrorists won't be able to be referred to as "resistance warring parties". the rustic is now a democracy. all people has a real to take section in the political technique. Terrorists attempt to make any democractic political technique impossible via transforming into a climate of concern, intimidation, and chaos. You referred to as them "resistants"? think of roughly what you're saying!!! they are resisting the valid Iraqi government, voted into place of work via 8 million of their fellow Iraqis. via definition, they are answerable for treasonous acts against their very own u . s ..

Americans, for years, have fought and died, so that people, miles and miles away, can live in freedom.

It is not a nonsense war

I hate war, and find it disturbing generally. I also hate mosquitoes, snakes and other creepy crawly things, that I know I have to kill if I want to live in peace.
