Ok one time I was in the college dorm cafeteria minding my own business when a group of guys were harassing me and I just got up and started to leave saying "Leave me alone and if you hate me that much then Kill ME!" Well after I left the cafeteria employees called the Dean and said I made HOMOCIDAL threats! Which wasn't true!! I was so ticked off and upset and sick I attempted suicide nd ended up in the hospital because I was afraid to go to jail for something I didn't do or didn't say.
I am still very upset with them and my friend who heard EVERYTHING I said and the guys said(she has very keen hearing) and she said I never said anything homocidal.
So do I have the right to sue them for slander and character defamation or just let it go and never go near that college again?

The dean was scaring the crud out of me saying cops re gonna come after me which they never did because a few days later I called the cops and asked if there were any charges or warrants out for me. They were like what are you talking about? So no there weren't any charges!

First of all I'd rather kill MYSELF for eternity than harm a soul. If I was pregnant and the unborn child was costing me my life, I'd die in order for the child to be born. If I got pregnant without planning, I'd keep it.
Would you guys stop saying 'meds and therapy'! I'm already getting that please help me on whether or not I can sue these people!

Never go near the college again and move on with your life, especially as you tried to commit suicide afterwards and likely will be seen as emotionally unstable, which is not a label you want to have with you your entire life as it was likely situational.
Even if you could find a lawyer to take your case, which I highly doubt you would be able to, keep in mind that it takes usually at least 2 years for it to come to a trial where in the meantime makes it hard to move on with your life as you will be preparing for a trial and be forced to re-live the entire situation all over again.
Also, any litigation will show up in public records search and it could keep you from getting certain types of jobs in the future.
A similar situation happened to one my son's classmates where he got up in class and declared "What do I have to do to get you to stop picking on me, kill myself?". The school reported it to authorities and now his mother has been Court ordered to take him to a counselor every week until he is 18 if he wants to remain in public schools.
If someone puts you down, don't get depressed, get mad and stand up to them by saying you do not deserve the treatment you have been getting and point out THEIR flaws (everyone has them).
Regardless of how old you get or where you go, there are people who will always try to take advantage of those that they perceive are weaker than themselves if you allow them to do so. The solution is to stand up for yourself and never to allow them to take control over you in the first place.

It's hard to say in this case - it's all hearsay at this point. The Dean is the only person with any credibility, unfortunately. Assuming you want to go back to that college, here's what I think you shoudl do - You should definitely file a complaint against the guys that were harassing you, this way they can't keep harassing you without the threat of really getting sued. As for being hospitalized, you should write the dean, explaining what happened - so that it's on paper (which means you need to make it clear and concise so you don't sound crazy) and get a statement from your Therapist stating that "state of mind"(that put you in the hospital) is in the past and is, most likely, not going to happen again. This would cover a lot of bases when trying to return to school. A college education is too important for your chances to be ruined by bad judgment.
If you don't want to go back to that college then tell them where to go and find a better college. Most city colleges will accept you no matter what - then transfer to a state college. It will cost you less money in the long run.

Several issues from your details that would make a lawsuit difficult at best for you to win.
First, almost everything is going to be "he said, she said." Basically you have your witnesses claiming you didn't say anything threatening and the University witnesses saying you did. What it would likely come down to is standing in the community (Dean of college vs College student) and you'd be an underdog.
Also, slander and defemation claims aren't as black and white as most people think. If someone says something (that may or may not be true) about you then you can't just sue them for a billion dollars. It has to be damaging (losing a job because of false accusations, etc). Here again, you'd have to prove that what they said about you was untrue (see first argument).
Finally, the institution itself has alot to do with it. If the college is a state run university (or cummunity college) then they have the same immunity as the state itself and becomes very diifficult to file suit against.
Unless you've got really deep pockets and can afford a potentially costly trial; I'd forget about it and move on. If moving on isn't something you can do from a character stand-point, then you've got a very tough court battle ahead of you.

There's not much age difference but in young males there is sometimes a big physical difference between those ages. If it comes to it, a right good slam to the nose should do the job. That will ruin anybodys day. Choking on his own blood and blinded by his own tears, it's hard to fight. If there's tussling involved and he's bigger than you then try to get on his back, both arms around his neck and hang on like a pitbull until he submits. Either that or phone the cops, but this could make your situation worse. Nobody likes a grass.

seek some spiritual advice, and file a police case against those guys for your own protection, do not sue the dean because he holds your future in his own palms, but rather file a formal complaint with witnesses other than your friend signing it. No one should spell out threats at you if youd idn't do anything.

No, I doubt you have a case.
The real issue is you comment about YOURSELF and the fact you tried to commit SUICIDE. The ultimate " permanent answer to a short term problem".
You didn't try that because of them. You did that because of you.
You, no joke, should spend some time at a "Quiet Community" and get some real help quick!!!!
For YOUR sake...
You ask for answers and help, and that is what you are being given! You have NO CASE !!! YOU DO NEED HELP !!!

You might be able to press charges, but most likely you will not win.
Just let it go. Colleges have to be EXTREMELY careful, and have a lot of power in regards to the things you say and what they can do about it. Remember, most colleges are not government entities: they are private insitutions, and you agreed to abide by their rules.

I think that you should start a "group" so you'll be more easily backed up. Then, you should start trying to get revenge. Or you could just leave the college and go to another one if possible.

In todays society, it is not a good idea to yell "kill" in a school or college.
You sound like you need some therapy.

You need to see a mental health adviser to sort all this out, then when you can see things clearer, then speak to the dean of students about these events
