Deira is much cheaper than the jumerah area but you will find many places cheaper than Deira as qusais

In Deira, the house rent is comparatively less than the other areas in Dubai, but some places are overcrowded. Try to find a suitable apartment located behind the Al-Ghurair Centre or near to Clock Tower. These areas are quiet and not congested.

A lot of people live in Sharjah, which is very close to Deira, because it's much cheaper, the downside is that there is a lot of traffic between Sharjah and Dubai, You may want to look into that, if u can stand traffic. Good luck
