Believe it or not, plain peanut oil is WONDERFUL for hooves (and it's cheap!). But even better than that -- whenever you groom her, spend some time MASSAGING her coronet bands (just above the hooves). This is where the hooves grow from and where the blood supply is. Massaging them will make a HUGE difference as the hooves grow out.
Also, a good diet will help her hooves.
Source has a vitamin supplement called Focus HF (hoof). I gave my horse Focus Senior and he lived to be 34, so I LIKE the Source brand products.
Thank you for rescuing this needy horse.

Jello is many times produced from chicken. have you ever observed after Thanksgiving dinner, and later you pass to make a sandwich and there is this accretion of wiggly goo around the poultry? this is what jello is produced from. It comes from the cartilage around the joints. that's amazingly healthful for you, extremely in case you have vulnerable joints. once you're a vegetarian, or vegan do no longer devour jello! So no horse hooves are no longer used for jello, glue....definite

Try Bag Balm. You can get it at most drugstores. Use it consistantly and pay close attention to cleanliness.
You can also put some unflavored gelatin in her feed (Hooves are toenails after all).

if your willing to spend some money, Hoof Alive(r) is the best way to go. it is a premium product and will do wonders to her hooves. if its to pricey for you, you could go with the bag balm...
you can also use hoof alive as a fingernail balm.
