Seriously, probably English because so many countries require it to be learned as a second language (if it isn't their primary one). Esperanto is supposed to be the most "universal" language because it contains so much of the European languages and rules for usage are so simple. Last I heard, only around 600,000 people know how to speak it. Go figure.
