H2O...it is the biggest factor. Other than that, nitrogen fertilizer now and a balanced one later.

Try not to use chemicals. The deplete your soil, which in the long term is bad.
Use something like Bionetix Uk biostimulant. i have used this for my fruit and veg and it works a treat.
i belive they have something for grass.

fertilizing, use "scotts turfbuilder" products

bugs, use "bug-b-gone"

weeds, use "weed-b-gone"
