My husband says it's 'stuffed', I say it's 'stuck'-- asking what his reasoning was, he's says the pig is 'stuffed' as in fatted for the slaughter. What say you?

Your husband is clearly a retard. Its bleeding like a stuck pig. A stuffed pig is a toy that children play with.

(i say leave him now...)

Stuck Pig

My husband (soon to be 'ex') just said the same thing to me. He hit his head on something at work and told me he was bleeding like a "stuffed" pig. When I was done laughing, I asked him how much does a "stuffed" pig really bleed?!? Common sense isn't a given for everyone I guess.
So...for those of you that think it's "stuffed pig", go find one, stick it, slice it or put it through a shredder. Afterward, get back to me and let me know just how much that thing bled.
Have a day nice. Or is it nice day? Hmmmm...

I have never heard the stuffed version, I must say, but maybe I was listening sloppily at the time. Stuck makes more sense, I must say. A yahoo search of both terms yields:

1 - 10 of about 188,000 for bleeding like a stuffed pig

1 - 10 of about 420,000 for bleeding like a stuck pig

the other unnamed biggie in searches concludes:

1 - 10 of about 263,000 for bleeding like a stuffed pig

1 - 10 of about 502,000 for bleeding like a stuck pig

Which combined adds up to 451,000 stuffeds and 922,000 stucks, I must say, dividing the stucks by the stuffeds makes the combined stuck to stuffed ratio 2.044, I must say, so your SPIN is twice as common, I must say, on the interweb. Yoo guyz should agree to alternate, I must say, between stuck and stuffed, using stuck twice and, I must say, then using stuffed for every third utterance of the proverbial pig pronouncement, until the issue is settled once and for all, I must say :)~

Two problems here. 1. You must never ignore bleeding. If you are not sure it is rectal bleeding it could be from the vagina and it could be a pyometrium (like an abscess in the uterus). She MUST be seen by a vet. I suggest you ask your vet if they have payment plans so you could pay in installments. You might also like to get your piggies insured; a small sum that will pay out when you have emegencies like this. You do not want to go to the cheapest vet as they might not know much about guinea pigs and could prescribe inappropriate treatment. Borrow from friends, family or neighbours, but make sure your little girl gets the treatment she needs. You will never forgive yourself if you don't. You could try a rescue or a shelter to see if they have a vet who would be able to see your piggy. Are you *sure* they are both girls? Could be a miscarriage. 2. Foot problems. Not so urgent as bleeding, but uncomfortable for the piggy. Get her OFF the wire floor NOW! Both of them. Never a good idea for guinea pigs to be on a wire floor. What you need to do is have them on a solid floor. Get some bubble wrap (supermarkets will probably be throwing the stuff away, things like bananas often come wrapped in it, so you should be able to get some for free), put that bubble side down on the floor, then newspaper on top. Make sure none of the bubble wrap is sticking out otherwise they will eat it. You can put hay and bedding on top. Or your could put a towel on top, and then hay and bedding on top of that. This will make your piggy much more comfortable as she will literally be walking on air. If you are still thinking about the money, think of something you can give up to help save towards the payments. Think what it would be like if you were the one needing medical attention, and consider who has priority then. Do your best for your piggies, they rely on you. Hope this helps.

I don't usually bleed when I gorge out on food, but pokes and pricks often require Band-Aids.
Of course, I am not a pig, but considering the remarkable similarities between humans & pigs, I must conclude...

Guinea pigs can not have wire cages. The wire is bad for their feet. At least call a vet for advice over the phone if you cant afford to take her there.
