I have an old Packard Bell that I would like to move photo's and stuff unto a jump drive but the PC doesn't see the port. The CD drive is shot.

After powering ON PC, press F1 or Del to enter BIOS menu. Look for integrated peripherals. There should be something there on USB where you either enable or disable the USB support chip. My Pentium lll motherboard has that and all the while I thought it was always simply plug and play.

I agree with Karz, on most older PCs, sometimes you have to go into the computer's BIOS and "enable" usb support.
