What IS GOING to be the downfall of this totallitarian government that has been disguised as a "democracy"

I don't see America falling. I see us switching governments, but not falling.


But you're on the right track. You missed a beat, though. The reason for an American downfall will be Democracy. It honestly doesn't work anymore. And to tell you the truth, we aren't a Democracy. We're a Dictatorship. We've been one since Ronald Regan, and have continued to grow as one, especially recently under the Bush Administration.


But the truth is in, and Democracy is failing us greatly. I am all for America moving into Socialism. It's quite like what we have now, but it equals the power between individuals and the government. It provides for it's people. It sets limits on Corporations so that they can't take over America like they are. It's exactly what Europe has, and they're the happiest people in the world.


OPEN YOUR EYES, PEOPLE!!!! It's time that we look forward for once, instead of sticking with a tradition that's failing us.

While I am also very uneasy about the state of our government, I also keep in mind that the U.S. has faced some rather serious issues before and came through with flying colors. We have faced civil war, 2 world wars, depression, and probably some stuff I have forgotten.

We are seriously attacked on our shores once and suddenly the whole state of the country is thrown off balance. I still am hoping we are able to find ourselves again. While we are all filled with dread at the threat of a dismal future, what choice do we have but to get through it like we always have before.

"Empire" isn't the word and neither is "totalitarian." The democracy of the USA is just that, a democracy. "We the people..." and all that good stuff, although, the population of the "people" has grown quite considerably. To be totalitarian or a dictatorship the country needs to be under total command of one individual, and I can quite assuredly tell you it is not. Many branches, many people, many voices make up the actions and choices of the country. As for your question, it won't. The border line of it and all other countries seem pretty much drawn - and they're not budging.
