you can use a combination of freeware antivirus and antispyware , firewall and a fishing filter to get the functionalities of a security suite

Norton 360 is good but it takes up system recources and slows down comp, if you want something free get AVG from Grisoft(antivurus) or Ad-Aware for spyware. many people have told me to get NOD32 but i found it a little hard to use,(it may be the best, but simple is always a factor)
