God, he worked in a LOT of stuff.

He carved in carrera marble
He painted in fresco
He wrote poetry
He designed architecture

He worked a lot in sculpture with marble eg David, the dying slave
but he was also proficient as frescos as the Sistine Chapel shows exceptionally well.

He did mostly stone. Marble and other rocks. There are some drawings on walls that have been preserved, and dont forget the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel..painting

Paint--gesso actually, a mixture of pigment and plaster for the Sistine Chapel.
Oils for portraits/other paintings.
Marble for statue sculpture.
Paper/charcoal for sketches.
