That is the instinct of a mankind. He is not contented of what he is at present time and always strive to get better except those who have no ambition in life.

If you strive always to be the best you can be you won`t have time to worry about what can go wrong or feel sorry for your self.

I only strive for the best that is in me and help my family to be the best they can be. For me, that is how I define "best in life."
