I use this style...
5 x 6 = 30
3 and 10 are factors of 30 that could equal 7
sooo we get this
(5a+ 10)(5a - 3)
now we just simplify it all
(a + 2)(5a - 3)
getting it?

The only possible factors for 5a² are 5a and a, so these are placed in position:-
(5a---------).(a--------)
Now require factors of - 6 that will lead to 7a
Try 3 and 2:-
(5a------3).(a-----2)
Now decide upon signs:-
(5a - 3).(a + 2)
Outer product = 10a
Inner product = - 3a
Sum = 7a, as required
Answer is (5a - 3).(a + 2)

i imagine you're declaring aspect that and those 4 are the options? nicely you may not aspect that, meaning this is best. For the different 3, multiply them out and also you may see that they don't equivalent 5a^2+b. a(5a + b) = 5a^2+ba b(5a2) = 5a^2b ab(5a + a million) = 5a^2b+ab

use the quadratic formula

x = (-b ± sqrt(b^2 - 4ac))/(2a)

x = (-7 ± sqrt(7^2 - 4(5)(-6)))/(2(5))
x = (-7 ± sqrt(49 + 120))/10
x = (-7 ± sqrt(169))/10
x = (-7 ± 13)/10
x = (-20/10) or (6/10)
x = -2 or (3/5)

the factored form is (5a - 3)(a + 2)
