We act "stupid" to keep Yankees and outsiders from coming down to visit and discovering how truly beautiful the country is and how wonderful we really are when you look past our slower-paced ways. Oops! I spilled the secret!

I beg your pardon?? I am from the South, in America and I assure you that you are very, very misled! You did not state why you think we are so stupid; therefore, I have to take this as an assumption on your part.
The civil war is not an issue! It's been over for many years...just in case you don't know the complete history!
I challenge you to look a little deeper and not at stereotypes!
