Australian Lives have changed because it now there are more ties with America and we are more independent to the UK

(you may be thinking Argentina...or Uruguay....but NOT Australia!!)
Australia benefited with closer ties to the United States....and became less depended on the UK/Crown dependencies for help/assistance.
