If this is your AP (Access Point) the the simple fix is to look on the back of the router and us a paperclip staightened out, and push it through the hole that says RESET, hold it down for 10 seconds. This will take the router back to the original configuration. If it is a LINKSYS Then connect to it "Wired" open IE and in the address type http://192.168.1.1 hit enter and you will see a login request. Enter no user name and use "admin" for the password. Now you can set up the security etc...
Each maufacture is different so check the manual or go online and look for the model number plus manual pdf i.e. WGA3100 Manual PDF. Should find a link to download the quick set up guide.
Now if it is NOT you AP (router) then the only course of action is to ask the owner for the passkey. Because the tools used to Sniff wireless connection can get you landed in jail, not to mention the timing has to be right and you have to capture and enormous amount of data to find the passkey, and it takes forever.
But if you insist on knowing the names they are AirSnort and WEPCrack. See links
I hope this is helpful.

what's the use of the term secure wi-fi connection?
the term alone suggests that it's secured, i'm sorry to tell you that you really need an encryption key to connect to that particular network....

You can't. If you are trying to access a wireless connection without the owner's consent this is illegal and imprisonable.
