Yeah, in most cases poor lol
Seriously, a Fish Farmer or a Fish Breeder usually, but the fancy term is an Aquaculturist.

They are usually just called "breeders". I do not see the correlation between being a fish breeder and being poor. I know several breeders make big money just from selling fishes. One example is one breeder that sells a 6" flowerhorn (with a fat lump on his forehead) for $350, and someone did buy it. Maybe it just depends on the types of fish the breeder specializes.

Poor. Good word in my case. My darn bettas cost me thousands and I didn't make ZIP!
But I would say just a fish breeder would be the term to use, or the breed of the fish and then breeder...like betta breeder or gold fish breeder.

such people are usually called fish breeders. this refers to a person who has a [or many] male and female fish which produce young fish after a while and these are taken care of till they become a little hardy and are sold to a fish retailer.
