How do you "foil" this equation?

assuming it's ((2)(x^2)) and not (2x)^2;

(x^2)(2x^2)
(x^2)(2)(x^2)(x^2)
2(x^2)((x^2)^2)
2(x^2)(x^4)
2(x^6)

I wouldn't really say you could foil this in terms of the traditional 'foil' method. All you can really do with this one is multiply 2x^2 by x^2, which will get you 2x^4.

= x² X 2x²
= 2 X x² X x²
= 2x^(4)

You can't F.O.I.L. this equation because you are only multiplying 2 monomials. You can only use the F.O.I.L. method when multipying 2 polynomials.
