Sometimes, I prevent people from doing something they wanted to do, unknowingly, like sleeping for example. Well, whenever I keep them from “sleeping” again unknowingly and I find out, I instantly push the person away. Then, I keep the person from doing a favor for me. Finally, it almost seems like I’m “controlling” them to do whatever they wanted to do in the first place. Then, the person gets mad because they think I’m controlling and I only care about myself while I did this with their best interests coming first. That is so confusing………

Look up The Landmark Education Corporation on a google search, and do their three day intensive The Forum. You will get to the bottom of the whys and what it costs you. Very engaging and powerful look at the study of being human. Well worth the experience, and the three hour intro is free too. Not a cult...just great wisdom...

I think what you are talking about is "mind control", it has been proven to be a myth. I've read some of your questions, and answers. I believe you are transfering what you think, you're mom is doing to you, to what you are doing to others.
My thinking is that you are a very bright young man in the process of becoming an adult, with a lot of question going around in your mind, it's normal.
As I understand you are starting a new job, that will help to give your mind a break.
I would hope you have some adult in your life that you can trust.
Don't be afraid to ask question's, we have all been through the phase you are going through. Maybe a school counselor would be of benefit.
In my openion you're are a very bright young person, and should
look to college and prepare yourself for that in your future.
Stay possitive an my best wishies.

It is confusing I would call this passive-agressive sort of behaviour.? I'm not sure I have'nt studied Pyschology. It sounds like you dont want to be the cause of burden to anyone,so you would rather decide or as you say control what they can and cannot do for you this way sparing them and yourself some disruption/hurt/inconvience which might come from it?

Do you feel like your some sort of burden?
