No it is not good to keep them together. The guinea pig could injure the hamster.
Guinea pigs should not be fed hamster food there is not enough vitamins in the food. A guinea pig should be fed guinea pig food and should have a salt lick.
Also are you sure the hamster can't get out of the cage due to the spacing of the bars.
I have bred both and I certainly wouldn't keep them together but visiting eachother wouldn't be a problem if they do get along.

no
1) u should feed ur guinea pig guinea pig food cuz guinea pig CANNOT produce their own vitamin c n they need it from their food
2) hamsters tend to fight with other animals
3) one of them will not get enough food becuz the other is dominating

because the guinea pig is more dominant its first reaction is to kill the hamster if it feels threatened ie the hamster eating its food.

hamsters tend to be solitary animals, unlike gerbils...besides I'd be afraid that the guinea pig would step on the hammie or bite him if there became any territorial issues...I wouldn't do it but you know your pets best...go with your gut

I do not think it is a very good idea, as hams are solitary animals, they tend to like to have their own 'territory'. They do not like other things to step in and share their place with them. Esp the other species. Even if they are well tgether, they might start to take their 'territory' and start to fight for it. And also, these lil animals can be real attention seekers as well! :D
