what s the psychological reason of this?

Yes, you are right. It's the most obvious sign i've observed of low self esteem. Also, I've been guilty of it myself. People who brag are looking for validation of their self worth. Basically they want others to see them the way they want to be seen. As people mature and feel more validated, they lose the desire to brag.

People brag and insult because they feel inferior. That's the truth. If someone feels put down, they might put someone else down by bragging. They think they're superior and better than everyone else when they brag and insult other people. They would only NEED to feel superior (by bragging and insulting) if they are inferior.



It's all lack of self-esteem.

People brag because they think they are big and mighty, self-centered, and have too much pride. They need for everyone to know that they are so good. I hate braggers.

They never feel good enough about themselves. It could be sever narcissism, and these people are dangerous to have as friends.
