I was raised with country and metal and everyone says it's impossible for me to like both

you must have a lot of cd's! seriously, i think that's fine. nothing wrong with variety. metal, country, and pop are all good in their own ways - sometimes it just depends on your mood.

I think it is great that you have a open mind when it comes to music. I listen to all types myself from Metal to Country to Jazz, Blues and Hip Hop. I like what I like.

No, it's not impossible to like both. When I was younger, I used to line up John Denver behind Alice Cooper and enjoyed it enormously. (Shows my age, doesn't it?) I say if you like it, "everyone" is wrong. Go for it!

It is definitey possible to like them all, I am living proof. It really just depends on what my mood is for the day on what I listen to.

you can like anything that you want. i have actually listened to both before and I have to say that I find myself buying both of the same genres.

i listen to it all. music is great. you shouldn't be hung up on just one type. you might find that you're missing out on some good tunes.
