When I was a kid, I thought "Charlie Hustle," was incredible. Then of course he had a gambling problem and lied to cover it up and ended up in prison. I don't know how to feel about him anymore, he has finally admitted everything...but it doesn't erase what he did. Have you forgiven him?? What are your thoughts?

I don't forgive him, but I understand, and I believe he should be in the Hall of Fame for his baseball accomplishments.

He was one of the greatest baseball players of all time, but one of the worst examples of personal morals of all time. He should be in the hall of fame without a doubt but should not be allowed to be a part of professional baseball today because of his gambling on the game while be associated with it. His personality is terrible and he only tells the truth if it makes him a buck. Not the kind of guy I look up to, but as a baseball player what a superstar. There are a lot of jerks in the hall of fame so why do we not single them out.
Bottom line is I am not alive today to forgive or not to forgive Pete Rose. I can only appreciate his abilities and respect him as a person. I'm just sorry to say I can not respect him as a person.

His gambling problem has nothing to do with me. Because a gambling problem was worse than the rampant racism in the early days of baseball. Ty Cobb

Men after him did what he did.
They didn't learn or seem to care that you can't do it.

It's not like he's still playing.
