You could, but I wouldn't reccomend it. A master's degree IS a big deal. I've never been a scholar, but my husband is the opposite. He's currently in graduate school persuing his Master's of Divinity degree. Next year is his last year. If he can get the concentration he wants, he's also going to persue the degree/certificate (I'm not sure what it technically is) that will help him qualify to eventually persue his doctorate. (I pray our children inherit their father's book smarts.) Our first child is due in September. By the May graduation, I hope to be able to fit back into one of my skirt suits for his graduation. However, part of the day will include a Eucharist worship service, so of course I'm not going to wear shorts and a Tshirt for that.
Also, why "can't" you wear a skirt? So what if your legs are pale? Mine are too, because I also care about my health and wear at least an SPF 30 when I know I'm going to be outdoors for more than ten minutes. It would be difficult to tell where my kahkai skirt ends and my legs begin, if my skirt weren't knee length. I don't care. I wear my pale legs with pride. Also, there is always panty hose.
Anyway, I hope I've helped.

Well I don't think you should wear blue jeans. Maybe black jeans, or tan pants. Those always looks classy. But yeah, wear the heels and the nice top.

Psh, screw the pale legs, I have pale x3 legs and I still wear skirts and whatnot.
You should really wear a dress.
Get some sunless tanner if it bothers you that bad.

I don't see why not, although it may be a good idea to ask him first. He or his family may be planning something special afterward and jeans might not cut it. A Masters degree is very difficult to earn, he put alot of energy into getting it. Maybe you should respect all his hard work and the status he has obtained.

As long as the top is somewhat dressy, if you have a Kohls dept store go there and get somthing by one of these brands, Apt.9 , Daisy Feuntes, or Nine and Co.

If I can suggest something...try to combine your blue jeans
( high waisted with wide hose look really great ) with victorian blouse in white or cream colour.

Personally, I think you should wear black, brown, or white pants (depending on the color of the shirt/heels). It would look more formal, but not over the top.
