If your "friends" are calling you stupid then they are not friends. God did not make you stupid, you just need to be around people who appreciate you. Your so-called friends have beaten your self esteem down to nothing. Remember that God does love you and that there are nice loving people in the world. I hope you find some new friends.

God bless and remember to love yourself!

Honey, those aren't friends...those are people are so insecure with themselves that they have to make themselves look big to others at your expense...probably because they are jealous of you. God created you for a reason, He had plans for you from the moment of your conception. It's all up to you to follow thru. You need a new gang of people, one's you can really call your friends. Attend church and get acquainted with the other kids in the youth group. Next they call you names, just tell them Jesus was called names but look how wonderful and glorious He turned out...look what He did...He died for you and I. Ask for help from God to free yourself and fill your life with joy and love. You know you're not stupid, if you were you wouldn't be on the computer asking for help, proceeding on to the next grade...no one is stupid, we might do silly stuff and the only stupid question is the one you didn't ask. You have a lifetime of hope and accomplishments ahead of you. Being around negative will cause you to think and live negatively....change your outlook, be positive. When you let go of them, they will wonder why and possibly treat you diffently. It takes a strong person to break the cycle, you can do it. I don't know you but I have faith in you. Believe in yourself and don't second guess yourself...you have control over you. God gave that to you...your own brain..use it. Tell those people that you dislike their disrespect and they don't respect themselves or others and you are moving on to better things. You must have something they want and can't have so ridiculing you is their way of making up for it. Maybe your homelife or something like that. Be a leader, not their puppet on a string. Keep your head high and move forward...you will go far if you believe. Hang in there, you have potential. You've already taken the first step....asking for help/advice. Smile and make some smile back at you...it does a heart good.

First understand this: if anyone calls someone else a bad name, then it is the person that is doing the name calling who is ignorant.

Name calling is low class and non-productive and cruel.

I doubt that you are stupid. In fact you seem smart to ask about this problem.

DO NOT hang with people who call you names. If you have told them the name-calling hurts(and I'm sure they already know this) and they still do it, then stop talking with and being with them.

Sometimes in life we only have one or 2 really good friends. And to have a friend, you need to be a friend too.

My suggestion to you is to find a hobby that you really like and work at it in your free time. After you have learned it, share it with people who might have similar interests. I started collecting miniatures when I was 13. I still do it and have met many people who are so kind who collect them.

God made you to enjoy your life and to be kind and helpful.
Maybe you can't help those sad people who call names, but you can love yourself, you can enjoy your hobby, and one day it will lead you to real friends who will love you.

My best wishes to you.

Your so called friends, shouldn't be so insensitive about calling names. Words can hurt people sometimes. I would tell those so called friends how you feel. What if you called them stupid ? How would they feel ? Maybe, find new friends because true friends would not be so insensitive to you.

I glad you know your smart and don't let them make you feel stupid. You are a very special person to " GOD ". We were all created for a reason.

" GOD " knew you even before you were in your mother's womb. Do not feel hopeless or empty, " GOD " loves you. I love you because you are one of "GOD'S "children.

You're not stupid!!!!!!!!!!! They are. In fact stupid means that you know what you're doing is wrong but you continue to do it anyway. A lot like your "friends". God made everybody equally it depends on what that person does with their life that makes them stupid. You should start telling them to stop and if they don't find other people to hang with. true friends don't laugh at you they laugh with you. if you feel stupid then correct it. Start studying something extra in school or in your own personal time. I'm sure you're a bright young lady and you'll do fine in life if you just keeps doing your best and toss any losers you hang with to the side.

Wow. You sound exactly like me. Infact, I'm the same way. Everyone at my school hates me as well. Heck, I know exactly how you feel. They most likely say this to you because you're a good person and you truly are smart. But you're looking to them for the answers instead of your own heart. God didn't do this to you, you do this to yourself by saying, "I'm not smart." But you are. First, you need to stand up to these guys assertively and tell them their wrong, no comment. Ignore them any further. Second, tell a teacher if it persist. And most importantly, say positive things to yourself. But don't take anything like that.

Then maybe they aren't your real friends! If my friends called me stupid I would drop them because if they were true friends they would try to help you instead of make everything worse! You are not stupid! It could be dyslexia, or not listening in class, or maybe just a little disorder that can be helped! Ask your parents for a private tutor or sylvan! Sylvan helped me in math a lot! I wasnt an easy listener in class but sylvan helped me catch up and I listen way more!

Oh you poor thing, it sucks to feel like that. Your friends sound like they are very mean. You should tell them that you don't appreciate being spoken to in such a way. It is amazing how cruel people can be without even knowing it! Talk to your family too and you will realise that you are not hopeless, and that you are loved by tonnes of people. Don't keep it all inside. And remember, you are here for a reason.

First off, I wouldn't ditch your friends that fast. Try and find a serious moment, and tell them that you don't appreciate that. If they still ignore you, find some new friends. I've been through that, but it was that my friend was ignoring me because I wasn't popular and I didn't wear brand names and she dropped me for another friend. I felt like crap. As for me, I never felt stupid, just felt really ugly. I had really bad acne as a tween and teenager, and I wasn't 'emo', but I kept my hair on my face so no one would see me. Don't get worried, just try and take counseling maybe? I did that, it helped me surprisingly. Good luck, you're going through tough times, but it's all good in the end!
