I understand two very good players were suspended, but they weren't suspended for no reason. The NBA after the big brawl said if a player leaves the bench without a substitution or timeout, he is suspended. Amare and Diaw did just that and they got suspended. They then argue that since it was the playoffs the NBA should have changed the rules or should have been leniant. The NBA didn't make any sort of anouncement about a changed rule, so they can't change it after the player commited the crime. I then hear that since it was Amare stoudemire it should have been a free pass. Well, the NBA doesn't make rules for a select few. All rules apply to everyone.

Did the suspensions cost the suns game 5? YES. Was the NBA right in giving suspensions? YES.

After Amare Stoudewhiner made the comments on bowen and ginobili being dirty, Popvich said h'es talented but he's young. Well, Amare made a "young" mistake and payed for it. The spurs are experienced and keep there cool. Nash acted when he fell

just to remind some commenters, RULES ARE RULES. whether or not you think it SHOULD be a rule is irrelevant. the debate is not "should this be a rule". the point is stoudemire and diaw went on teh court DURING an altercation, unlike when duncan and bowen came on the court. the rule clearly states "during an altercation".stoudemire is stoude"whiner" because hes a baby. after losing a game he calls the team dirty as an excuse. take the loss an move on. please dont make a comment against me and then say GO SUNS GO, or dont support the comment and say GO SPURS GO. then i will know ur opionion is COMPLETELY bias

some people are stupid. they say "but duncan and bowen stepped on the court. rules are rules". well, they dont know the rules. the rules say a player cannot step onto the court DURING AN ALTERCATION. there was NO ALTERCATION WHEN DUNCAN AND BOWEN STEPPED ON THE COURT, BUT THERE WAS ONE WHEN STOUDEMIRE AND DIAW STEPPED ON THE COURT

Ahh...the voice of reason sounds so sweet.
Y'know my favorite part of all this? The interview with D'Antoni when he was asked about Stoudemire's actions. He just laughed and said "Amare's young..."

Unfortunately the Suns are a real good team but show everyday why they have not won the big game. If all of their team took a note from Nash and grew up a little they might get to the level they want to be at. They just happen to have to go through San Antonio which statistically is the best team in this decade. Hard nosed defense and timely three's do wonders for momentum. One a different note the Phoenix fans are also inexperienced in the later parts of the playoffs and need an excuse why they can't get over the hump. But just to keep it serious they always have next year because there is a very slim chance they beat San Antonio 2 straight.

to answer your question. the whole NBA is filled with a bunch of drama-queens. I think ur seeing that in the Spurs.Suns. series. Rules are rules yes. and clearly Amare and Diaw broke them. But who wouldnt? Your star player Steve Nash is checked by Robert Horry. I would def. rush out to help. I do agree the suspensions did cost the Suns the game but that is to expected. If im coach of the Suns i tell my players. Were back at full-power now. no more of this crybaby bullshit. We go out there we play 120 percent we force a game 7 back at Phoenix and we go to the Western Finals. just my opinion.

HEY. The Suns have every right to complain. They lost two of their key players because of that rule, but Duncan and Bowen were exempt?! You say the NBA doesn't make rules for a select few, and that all rules apply to everyone. Well? Why weren't Duncan and Bowen called for violating it? They clearly stepped into that court from the bench.

Let's say you girlfriend just got taken down by a thug and lay motionless across the street, wouldn't you check up on her? Hell, the Suns team captain just got pounded and took a dive below the scorer's table and laid there for a moment, what would a good team mate do? Damn, what would a good human being do? You check up on him if he's okay. Okay did Nash acted? Why don't you try and have yourself clotheslined in the face and see if it hurts.

And about Amare "Stoudewhiner", try yourself separating your kneecap, go for a surgery, rehab for a year, work your a$$ off, make a full comeback to the playoff and have somebody kick you right there in the leg. I'm sure you'd be more pissed off than an irate hive of bees.

Because they need a scapegoat for the reason that they have lost 16 of the last 22 games to the spurs. Phoenix had all the hype and SA had about none now Phoenix is doing everything they can to avoid not living up to the hype.

Phoenix right now seems more like the cast of a drama film then a basketball team.

You said the NBA doesn't make exceptions for a select few. Go on Youtube and watch this:

Duncan and Bowen should've been suspended too according to the rule. They stepped inside the three point line. Rules are rules. Right?

i think that the NBA should not have suspended them for that game because sure they left the bench but they never made contact with anybody
yes it is a rule but our NBA champion may have come out of the outcome of that game
