I only have to do 8 problems. I know how to do it but I get a decimal and we're not supposed to do decimals. I think i might be doing it wrong because on our worksheets, the answers are almost always whole numbers.write which # you did and show your work. Thanks!
10) x(squared)-4x+3=0
11) x(sqrd)+2x-3=0
12) x(sqrd)-x=42
13) x(sqrd)20x=-96
14) 3x(squrd)+11x-8=0
15) 3x(sqrd)+3x-4=2
16) x(sqrd)-7x+9=0
17) 2x(sqrd)-22x-52=0
18) 2x(sqrd)-x-12=0
19) 6x(sqrd)-24x-192=0
20) x(sqrd)+5x=66
21) x(sqrd)+4x-437=0
22) x(sqrd)-20=-2x+60
23) 4x(sqrd)+10x+1=0
24) 2x(sqrd)+42=-20x
25) 3x(sqrd)-15x=-10
26) x(sqrd)=x-182
27) 7x(sqrd)+18x=4
28) 4x(sqrd)=28x-72
29) 5x(sqrd)=19x-17
30) -6x(sqrd)+20=43x
If the whole equation does not = 0 then you need to change it so that it does. Here's the equation you use.
x=[-b+ or -(b;squared-4ac)]/2
next:the main form that the problems are in. you plug it into the above equation and solve.
Ax(sqrd)+or-Bx+or-C=0
THANKS A LOT!!!

I love this stuff!!
10. x(squared)-4x+3=0, u use a diamond problem... then u have (x-1)(x-3)=0....solve x=1 and 3

11.x(sqrd)=2x-3=0, diamond problem....get (x-1)(x+3)...then x=1,-3

here is some for u if u want to help u more im great at math... friends_swimming@yahoo.com

Keep the answers in fractions or the most simplified squareroot.
I can do one:
x^2-4x+3=0
(x-3)(x-1)=0
x = 1, 3

#10
x^2 -4x +3 = 0
(x-3)(x-1) = 0
x = 3, 1
Solve by factoring

#11
x^2 + 2x -3 = 0
(x+3)(x-1) = 0
x = -3, 1
solve by factoring

#12
x^2 -x = 42
x^2 -x -42 = 0
(x+6)(x-7) = 0
x = -6, 7
solve by factoring

No fractions so far. No need to use fancy formula.

10) x^2 - 4x + 3=0 Factor
(x -3)(x -1) = 0
x = 3, x = 1
Use the quad. formula on those that don't factor.
