How is one better than the other? Both result in death.

I guess the song really says it all

Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgement day,
On the bloody morning after....
One tin soldier rides away

As a conservative , I am against most abortions -especially ones used as birth control. Mainly it should be left to the mother - but adoption would be kinder than death.
I don't love war but am realistic, war happens when countries can't agree and threats are made.
It is why every nation has a military - not just to have parades and cute uniforms.

I also know the difference between a trained soldier prepared to survive and a fetus nestled in its mother's womb
.
Just so you know -- I support the death penalty for adult offenders who didn't care about ripping the life out ( that seems cruel to me) of their innocent victim/victims .

Hope I was able to boost your superiority complex.
Now you can sit back and pat yourself on the back and feel good about your smugness.
At least your taste in music isn't bad - just dated.

Liberals are against wars but support abortion...

To answer your question, though...

If you look at wars in history, not all came to a bad end for the united states (Vietnam and Iraq being the exceptions). WW1 and WW2 made the world safe, the American War for Independence established this country.

On the other hand, abortion is always a bad end for the unborn child and rarely a good ending for the woman who makes the choice...

I know that mine is not the popular stance, but there you have it...

I can't stand my neighbor, I lost count of the friends I ditched,
and no it wasn't in the name of Heaven, plus I will have to answer for every one in the end. No trumpets are blowing because they were all sold for crack. When Judgment day does come I will be prepared. Then on that bloody morning after what's left of me will be found while that last terrorist blows himself up.

The problem is our news media, talking heads and hatemongering people like Rush Limbaugh and that evil woman that spews hatred whenever she opens her mouth. Anyway, in the past 10 years or so, the labelng has gotten much worse-- you are either conservative, or liberal, and if you are one or the other, it supposedly means you are for certain things. The big problem is this--only a minor part of the population is truly liberal and truly conservative , most are quite moderate yet there is no party or candidates they can look to, and if there are, the ultraconservative newsmedia trashes them with personal, vile attacks. In my state, we had a very intelligent, moderate candidate for US senate, but an evil out of state PAC spent millions using puppet caricatures and lied about his background, his voting record, and that Kerry would "pull his strings". He'd never even personally met Kerry, but of course advertising does convince people.

Here is the flaw in your statement. Abortion is killing a defenseless human child who has done absolutely nothing wrong. Wars are fought against other humans who have done something wrong(usually) and that can defend themselves. There are also wars called just wars where they are fought for good reason and within a certain set of rules such as the Geneva convention, restricted use of weapons, etc.

You can't be serious!
Islamic-extremists want to WIPE US OFF THE MAP! Doesn't matter if we're libs or cons--they want ALL of us dead. Our brave soldiers are fighting to destroy terrorism at its roots and hopefully create a safehaven for liberty in the Middle East.
But if a woman has unprotected sex and gets pregnant it's okay to have the baby killed simply because she doesn't want it. Boy... that baby sure poses a threat!

War is the answer when diplomacy fails and our nation is in peril.
Abortion is just murder.

I can tell you why the "conservatives" in Washington support wars and are against abortion. Because wars bring billions in profits for well connected people in business. They also help our country take possession of the resources we need to grow our economy. Meanwhile, the abortion issue brings out voters. In reality, conservatives in Washington care very little about the "rights" of the fetus. In fact, many of the loved ones and friends of prominent conservatives have had abortions.

This question supports the saying, "If your not a liberal by age 25 you have no heart. If your not a conservative by age 30 you have no brain".

I don't suppose it has occurred to you that we fight a war to protect our way of life from grown enemies who would like to take our freedom from us.
A fetus is a defenseless human being who is being put to death having committed no crime against humanity.
