Homeland Security and the Patriot Act are nothing more than selling fear to sheep....so that the friends of the Bush Crime Family can plunder our tax dollars.

well, yes 9/11 did happen on the republicans watch but honestly, there's no proof Democrats would have done a better job, I say this becuase that event was 6 years ago! people were very different and gas prices show it. So I am very courious as to what democrats will do if they are sworn into office,,, Being a republican...

9/11 was THE event that transformed thinking in this country. Republicans and Democrats alike were equally blameless for this event. Though you could argue Billl Clinton was MORE responsible since he let Bin Laden slip through his fingers more than once.

there was pretty much NO homeland security when bush took power. Lets not forget the fact that clinton had the chance to kill bin laden TWICE! And, like a nice little democrat, did not. And we haven't had another attack since the War on Terror started. Clinton never attacked al-Queida, and so we had another attack. And yes, we need to secure the border.
But the Republican plan is better than the Dems' surrender.
