i have to find a list of historical things that are wrong in monty python and the holy grail. i have that cars didn't exist yet, the plague and witch burning hadn't occured at the same time, they're in the wrong time per (in the beg of the movie it says somethin like 934 AD or somethin, all the events are in 1300s and beyondish) and that the flaggelants whipped themselves, not hit themselves with boards, anyone have any others?
anything would be apreciated, thank you!

all the events are in the 1300's??? if anything the date of 934 i far too late. Aurthur was more like 600 AD or earlier. more like 400 probably (Immediately after Roman departure)

The armor is wrong for the era, Camelot would have been more of a Roman structure, or wooden, those kinds of castles did not exist in Britain until after the crusades

lots o stuff :)

None of those are correct. The only inaccuracy is that one point where you can clearly see an LCD wristwatch on an extra in the background. LCD wristwatches postdate the setting by 12 years, However the analogue watches on several others in the scene are correctly represented.

Well, I'm not sure why you're looking for "historical" inaccuracies in a film that is a parody of a myth.

LOL the whole movie is a historical inaccuracy. I don't think anything in there is correct, but it has been awhile since i've seen it. :-) Watch the movie, it is hilarious!

In 934 AD even kings had "s**t all over 'em".

Plus no one had yet implemented an autonomous self-governing commune.

I love this question! :-)

Since this movie (one of my favorites) is a complete work of fiction, historical accuracy is hardly relevant.

the part where he says, "your mother is a hamster and your father smells of elderberries." the french would not be aware of hamsters at this point in history.

Why are you taking it so serious, I dont mean to be rude but its just a funny movie right. So why does it matter?

They wouldn't have had access to coconuts (to make the horse sounds)!

It's hardly a documentary so I don't think it matters in the least.
