At times life goes fast, but sometimes it goes so slow....why do we feel that or think that? People are always saying "Oh! you're growing up so fast!," but you feel like you've lived forever. When you have nothing to do and you suddenly start doing something you can pass 1 hour just like that and it feels like 1 minute. Why is that? It seems like we can't keep track of our own time but time just keeps getting faster and faster. Maybe you can help me understand how time slows down or gets faster.

When your occupied with something your mind doesn't have the capacity to wander, and therefore won't think about how the time is passing. However, when your not occupied you'll likely look at the clock more and it'll seem as if time is going slower because you're thinking about time.

I would say this when you are having fun then time goes fast, when nothing is happening and you are bored or not having fun then time goes slow, but actually once you look back you will sometimes say where did all that time go? Maybe it is the theory of relativity?

Time is relative to the observer. If you are in the midst of the moment, you are unlikely to notice the passage of time. People might say "I lost track of time". If you are alone, bored, or not enjoying yourself, you are likely to notice the time which will seem to be passing a different rate. The time is still ticking at the same speed -- in terms of how we measure it, however, our relationship to time is based on what is going on in the moment.

A five minute conversation can seem like forever if it is boring. Or, it can seem to fly by if you are engaged in the moment.

It is moving the same speed. Boredom makes it feel like it is going slow. Happiness makes it feel like it is going fast.
