i have this pond fish that is like about 3 years old and suddenly its become fat and its scales are lifting up. Its eyes suddenly have white pupils and bulging out. other pond fish i have seem to encourage it to eat the fish food given and seem to try to cheer it up. im not sure if its pregnant or not.

Nope, that's not pregnant, that's a disease. Several different diseases can cause the symptoms you are seeing and they are commonly lumped under the name dropsy.

To be totally honest, there are treatments you can try, but once the scales are lifting up it's practically impossible to save the fish. Further, should it die in the pond it could easily spread the disease to the other fish.

Given the very, very slim chance of saving the fish and the huge risk to your other fish, I would suggest you remove that fish from your pond and humanely euthanize it.

If your fish is only 3 chances are she isn't prego. Lifted scales are more of a sign of dropsy.

You need to remove your fish from the pond and put her somewhere else. Check her for parasiges first off just to be sure. Clean water is the best cure for dropsy. Just be sure you don't see parasites on the out side. Dropsy is cureable if caught early on.

Also, be sure your other fish do not start to show signs of lifted scales.
