Depends what you are looking for. If you want a quiet, family oriented beach, Spring Lake is awesome. Really clean and quiet.
If you want a party beach, everyone seems to go to Belmar.
For a balance of youth and family, you could try Point Pleasant.
Long Beach Island is nice too, although it has been several years since I have been there.

Wildwood is the best on the Jersey shore, That's south of AC, almost to Cape May, where there's a ferry to Delaware

Sea Isle city sea coast. We circulate there each and every summer season. The sea coast is exceptional with a mini boardwalk with shops. to no longer crowded and suited for little ones. there's a candy keep, the place you could destroy your little ones and there is an icecream guy that comes around on the sea coast. sparkling loos too! Plus you could genuinely force to Ocean city and different places like that. :) we opt to camp at a campground spoke of as Ocean View motel. it is a good campground for little ones b/c it has and arcade, mini golfing, and a tram vehicle ingredient, they also have a lake with paddle boats and pool and playground. So despite age your little ones are they could have something they are going to opt to do! lol yet idk in case you camp.
