My daughter's father moved to another town when she was 12. She was under my authority until she moved to another state to attend college at age 19. Now she is under her own authority. She works a lot of hours and attends school full time. She has a car, a job, a checking account, and a packed schedule. She isn't dating because she is so freaking picky.
She's her mother's daughter. I'm very proud.

Yes, I believe a woman should obey her father, until she is married, and then obey her husband.

No. When a person turns 18, they are legally free from the authority of their parents.

Nope. They're two different people from the moment she was born. She has that much right to decide for herself. Besides, you shouldn't be under anybody's authority even if he's your father.

Yes a Daughter does answer to her father until she gets married and even after. I feel a woman should fear the thought of adultry on her part not only because it hurts her husband but it shows poorly on the Father and her upbringing.

no, she should obey him until she is 18 and can move out and take care of herself. Marriage has nothing to do with it. What if she chooses not to get married.

I think this is a sexist implication, meaning you are obliquely saying all women should be under the authority of some man. So, no. I think young women should respect both parents, and then become their own person as adults.

It has to, so she can not only respect her father, but also her b/f and/or future husband. So she can also have a father figure to behave while she's around with men.

she should obey by his rules as long as she lives in the house...let me rephrase that she would live by the family/house rules,,,not necessarily just the dad's rules. mom has an equal say here too.
