I might be completly wrong on this but I thought I remember hearing he never actually played in october.

He is Mr. October because of all his accomplishments in World Series games. I wish I could have hit him along side the head when he hit (3) homeruns in one game against my Dodgers. The last one of the homeruns was hit to dead center field in Dodger Stadium and I think it might still be airborne.

He played the world series in October when he was playing with the Yankees. He is called Mr October because he batted 3 home runs in a game in one of those series.
