I say this time and time again. Just because the Democrats express the flaws in the American government doesn't make them Anti-American.

I am a very proud tree hugging bleeding heart Democrat! I love my country! I am not anti-American! Not to have the right to vote as I want would be un-American! That would be a dictatorship! No I am not in the least intimidated!

Well they try to make us feel intimidated, but don't take it personally. It's just their mentality....they see politics as an all-or-nothing game that they HAVE to win. They'll call us names, imply that we're unpatriotic, whatever they have to to see themselves as superior. Don't let it get to you, it's a reflection on them, not you.

So your version of democracy is everyone sits around discussing issues - one side looses the debate and because they resort to shouting "your traitors" (or even better something that alliterates)...they win?

Not at all -- and anyone who says something like that is clearly a closed minded ignoramus, so I wouldn't let it get to me anyway. I'm not so arrogant to think that I have all the answers, and they shouldn't be either.
