You need to campaign. YOu should do research and see what it really takes, the cute little motor home with the decals painted on the side cost as much as a house. But maybe we should nominate a "normal" person and see what happens. I bet he would do a better job!

Clinton wasn't a millionaire when he was elected, but he sure is now. It takes an enormous ego to be President, think of the pathology that it takes to be worth more than 10 or 20 million? Any normal person would stop at 5 or 10 million (the after tax net on $5,000,000 in T-Bills is $325,000 per year forever), but there are some people who want more, how sick is that? An ordinary person doesn't have the hubris to be President.

I would like to know why AMericans are mislead to believe that the Presidency is the most powerful office in the land?

Congress takes our money and spends it and writes the stupid laws that we have to abide by and pay for.

If you want to run for office and have a chance at changing AMerica for the better, run for Congress. I would much prefer to have you in COngress for a couple of terms than the corrupt people that are there today.

Because to be president its necesary to have the ability (or be the son of someone with the ability) to see life on a more macro economic level. And as a concequence to that itself: Wealth.

Most people see life on a more micro level.

It's a disgrace.
There has long been a saying that goes something like this.. 'those most qualified to run this country are smart enough to stay out of politics'.
Another saying.. 'you pretend that your vote matters, and we (government) will pretend that your vote matters'.
Still, you gotta vote for the lesser evil.
It is a sham.

because it cost so much money to run... "ordinary joes" run all the time but you never hear about them because they don't have the money to spend on advertising (on TV and what-not) that the other guys do...

We do not choose the President. The President
is chosen for us and then we have the illusion of electing
them.

Hillary has already been chosen.

not enough money to run an effective campaign...also you need to have clout for a party to endorse you so that you have money to use on the campaign...

it's sad and wrong, but true.
