Well... if we add your quotes together, it would seem instead that Yahoo!Answers is the largest emptiness of knowledge in the world. After all, only by knowing so much less than everything else does it show its true knowledge, neh?

Socrates never made such a statement; it's well established the old bugger only ever posed questions. In that respect perhaps Socrates was the forerunner of Yahoo Answers but there are a few key qualifications Yahoo lacks as either a thinktank or a knowledgeable entity. 'Yahoo' is neither sentient nor conscious... and therefore has no knowledge.

"Yahoo says this is "the largest thinktank in the world"?"
Yes, I have to agree! There are so many people on here thinking... some make good sense and some have SH!T for brains, but they are still thinking... correct?
"Does that make Yahoo the most knowledgeable entity to ever exist?"
LETS NOT GET AHEAD OF OURSELVES NOW!!!

your question is certainly thought provoking.
maybe it does make yahoo the most knowledge entity to exist because, a lot of people on here know nothing and answer anyway, but you have a great deal of people who do know, that makes them knowledgeable also, mix it all together with what you are saying and yes, you prob do have the largest think tank in the world. and of course to answer a question you have to think don't you?

I like that! But are you sure is was Socrates, the only things we konw about Socrates were written by Plato. Since this saying doesn't make sence and I can't find any reference of Socrates saying that, the film Colateral Damage has that line in it. Is there a reference of Plato saying that Socrates said the thing about ture knowledge?

No it does not. There are too many mud stirring carp in that
thinktank that is more like a muddy river.Yahoo should aim to make this the best thinktank in the world by encouraging people
to lift their standards.

Socrates also said that knowledge at its finest is mere recollection.
Unfortunately, the recollection of my recollection got lost in the download.
So, here I sit, in front of the Yahoo masses, wondering if they really exist or if they are all just a recollection of my lost recollection.

it makes it the least knowledgeable and philosopher understands it knows nothing but to claim such a feat as collective knowledge is foolish and should be considered ignorant and full of folly

You're probably right but its worth bearing in mind that not a single invention of any worth nor any philosophical school of thought was ever conceived by a think tank
