Is this right now or all-time. If its all-time probably Rodney Harrison because he's been playing this good for a long time. But right now Roy Williams is better. But, If Roy Williams continues to play the way he's been playing for the next couple years he will considered the better safety. Williams in my mind is better because he is always around the ball. He forces many turnovers and he punishes people when they get the ball. Williams is a better athlete too. Harrison is a great player, but right now he gets hurt too much, causing him to miss a lot of games. Williams is more durable ,and in my mind, more feared by opposing offenses. So Williams is better right now, Harrison is better all-time (although Williams can and will probably pass him.)

Today or career?
Career it's not even close. Harrison in his prime, easily. I put Harrison's 2004 season above any other safety.
Unfortunately Harrison has not had a full season since 2004. (He even end 2003 with a broken arm.:))
If I had to choose straight up for 2007 Harrison or Roy Williams I would still pick Harrison, but hope the injuries were behind him.

Roy Williams is a terrible safety, thats why the Cowboys couldn't protect the deep ball. Harrison can at least cover. But the best safety in the league, and possibly ever is Ed Reed, and he still has quite a few years left in him.

Rodney Harrison has been better over his career, let's also keep in mnd that Harrison is playing in the much tougher AFC conference and on teams that have had very tough schedules. His has been injured in the past few seasons but whem looking at his performance measured with the level of talent he has faced, this is no contest.

Got to be Roy Williams... Rodney is a dirty player, likes to lead with his helmet with the intent to injure. He's been fined on numerous occasion for it.

Harrison overall. But "Biscut" is much better in run support.
Best Ever? Ronnie Lott. Anyone who will cut off his little finger so he can play the 2nd half of a game gets the award on pure guts. Charlie Waters could knock you into the following week also...
