It's been 2 weeks and the edges have only started to lift on a few fingers... what's the best way to go from there?

The best way to take acrilic nails off is to run your fingers under hot water and the nails will easily come off. But you will need to run your fingers under the hot water for a long time. Also, there may be some glue left on your nails, so just use alchohol to get it off. Good luck!

Most nail techs just "go at" the acrylics with clippers and buff off the excess. I, personally, find that too painful. You can soak them off in pure acetone, using a wood pedicure stick to help loosen and remove them. Be sure to put the acetone in a glass container; it will dissolve plastic. It's also flammable, so be cautious. I'd go to a salon and have them soak them, to be on the safe side. It's messy and time consuming to do at home.

If you don't want to save them, then dip your fingers in nail polish remover with acetone. If you want to save them, then soak your fingers in hot water. It usually loosens up the nails to take them off with no pain.

the best way to take them off it,soak your hands in acetone, but make sure you have a small towel to cover your hand while soaking it will keep the heat that helps,if you have a small desk lamp also set that above the bowl for more heat.Do not take your hands out for 30 minutes,if you keep pulling them out to check the acrylic will just harden all over again.

soak them in acetone, not just nail polish with acetone but straight acetone (you can find it in beauty supply stores and usually comes in a jar). acetone will melt the acrylic off, it can be a bit messy but it takes the acrylic nails right off.
