It's a lovely name and also a Japanese word that at least some of the English-speaking world will recognize, not just from manga but from an old famous Japanese song, Sakura, Cherry Blossoms.

I LOVE IT! It's a beautiful Japanese girl name. Forget manga and anime because none of that stuff matters. Nobody cares anyway. My sister's nickname is Sakura. How about Sakura Mae?

Name your baby girl with a name SHE won't be ashamed of when she grows up... Do it for HER, not for YOU...
Sakura seems like a nice name..., but you will have to see what her last name is so it will have a nice rhym to it...

I think that if you are going to name your baby after a flower or something, then name her something like Lily or Rose.

I think she will definatly get picked on in school. It is too easy for a fourth grader -"Sakura the sucker". Or the freshman in high school- "Why don't You Sakura me off" or "Sak-u-rass"
It is a beautiful name but I don't think kids in shool would see it that way.

GO NARUTO!!!!!!! if you're not a big magna and anime fan don't name your sakura, and i don't think she'd llike it if she wasn't a big anime or magna fan either, and i don't care if you like the japanesse cultre or not, it might make her think that she has to like all of that stuff when she dosen't want to
